PaperBeam Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 22, 2026
PaperBeam is a Chrome extension that sends web articles you choose to your Kindle.
What we collect and why
- Your Kindle email address. It's stored in your Chrome settings and sent to our delivery service each time you send an article, so the ebook can be emailed to your Kindle.
- The article you choose to send. When you click Send, the page is converted into an ebook inside your browser. The ebook is sent to our delivery service, which immediately emails it to your Kindle address through our email provider, Resend. We do not store the article after delivery.
- A random install ID and usage counts. These count your monthly free sends. The ID isn't linked to your name or browsing history.
- Your license key (Pro users). It's checked with our payment provider, Gumroad, to confirm your purchase.
What we don't do
- We don't read pages you don't choose to send.
- We don't track your browsing, show ads or sell data.
- We don't use your data for anything other than delivering your documents.
Service providers
- Cloudflare runs the delivery service.
- Resend sends the email to your Kindle.
- Gumroad processes Pro payments. Each handles data under its own privacy policy, only as needed to provide this service.
Retention
- Articles are not kept after delivery. Our email provider may keep delivery logs (recipient, time, status) for a limited period.
- Usage counts expire automatically after about 40 days.
Your choices
Remove the extension at any time from chrome://extensions. This deletes your saved settings. To have a license key or usage data removed, email us.
